Being a member of Warringah Aquatic Swimming Club (WASC) gives the swimmer the opportunity to experience competitive swimming at any level. The Club runs race nights periodically through the year where members can gain race experience and qualifying times in a relaxed atmosphere.
The Club is affiliated with WASA, SMNE, Swimming NSW and Swimming Australia.
Warringah Amateur Swimming Association, a local swimming body (WASA) runs meets during the summer months as well as some swimming clinics. There are four meets over the summer held at Warringah Aquatic Centre. WASA is not affiliated to Swimming NSW so times achieved at these meets are not recognised for entry into other meets.
Sydney Metro North East (the regional swimming body) run winter and summer meets over the course of the year. Some of these meets do not require qualifying times to enter which gives swimmers the opportunity to gain a recognised time as well as some racing experience as well as a pathway towards more competitive competitions.
Swimming NSW hold meets during the course of the year for all regions that our swimmers are able to compete at providing they meet the qualifying times.
Being affiliated to swimming NSW also allows our swimmers the ability to enter some of the other meets run by other clubs and regions.
Swimming NSW run Metro and State Championship events generally held at Homebush.

The club does not provide squad swimming. Big Blue Swimming is our main squad provider. They are a separate organisation who provides aquatic programs at North Sydney as well as the Warringah Aquatic Centre. Tim Lane is the head coach at Warringah Aquatic Centre and is also the head coach of our club. While almost all of our swimmers swim with Big Blue and we enjoy a close association with them, swimming with Big Blue is not a pre-requisite to joining the club. We have a small number of swimmers within our club who train with other providers who do not have a club attached to them.
Committee meetings are held once per month at 7:30 at Harbord Bowling Club. Members are welcome to attend meetings. Please refer to the calendar for meeting dates.
